The international support to the Japanese Crisis has been vast, the latest from Google Translate is an experimental Android version process texts Japanese translation into 50 languages. This is one of many help that came from the localization industry including Japan Association of Translators organizing of volunteer Japanese translators and interpreters.

Google Translation for Android announcement featured the product in action with a split screen showing a mock Japanese translation in Conversation Mode within the speech-to-speech English and Japanese. The Google Translate example screenshot shows user input “do you live here” in English and a real time translation is displayed including a Japanese voice over option.

The other screen shows the English and Japanese Translation displayed within the same text messaging conversation bubble. Consecutive bubbles show the entire coversation in both languages. The Japanese voice over option is integrated into Google Translate, allowing you to machine read both in English and Japanese.

To download the application, scan the Barcode using the Barcode Scanner application on your Android phone. Please make sure you have enabled non-Market applications to be installed on your phone. (Settings > Application Settings > Unknown Sources). Download here or read the QR code.

Japanese Translators And Interpreters Help
