Localization Project Manager
Job description
JBI Studios specializes in localization of audio, video, and multimedia content, such as elearning courses, marketing or training videos, Flash animations, etc. We are currently looking for a project manager, to handle some of these localization projects. We are located in Los Angeles, and this position is on site, full time.
Tasks
- Manage localization projects from start to finish. - Interface with clients - Establishing, communicating, and meeting deadlines - Prepare assets for localization/recording - Coordination of vendors, both local and remote - Quality assurance of material in your native language, whether that is English or a foreign language. - Sporadic and limited audio and video work, such as converting files.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience in localization project management - College degree required - Responsive and deadline driven - Excellent communication skills since the project manager is the client's sole point of contact - Good organizational skills and detail oriented - Computer savvy. Although no specific software knowledge is required, you must be willing to learn different software, as well as troubleshoot. - Native level in one of these languages a plus: Spanish, English, French, Dutch, Portuguese, or Korean. - Knowledge of trados or other CAT tools a plus - Knowledge of audio/video a plus - Knowledge in Flash a plus
